WORK WITH ME

I build custom software for businesses when the off-the-shelf tools don't fit.

Sometimes that's a small internal tool. Sometimes a proper platform. Either way, start to finish — you get me, not a project manager forwarding emails to a developer.

The work tends to be the stuff off-the-shelf software won't touch. Stock counts that drift between systems, industrial plants still running on spreadsheets, Shopify stores that assemble products from components. Things where the answer has to be built, because nobody sells it.

Two kinds of engagement

1–3 Weeks

Tools & Dashboards

Small builds for teams that need something specific done properly. One problem, one interface, and whatever has to happen underneath it. Priced per project. Delivered in weeks, not months.

Typically fits

Internal tools only your team uses. Workflow apps you can't buy off the shelf. Custom reporting views. Client portals. Small Shopify add-ons. Making two systems that don't speak to each other start speaking.

What I need from you

A clear description of what it should do. Access to any existing systems it has to talk to. Someone who can answer questions as they come up — ideally not by committee.

— I reply within 24 hours. Usually faster.

Platforms & Systems

Longer builds. The whole thing — how it's put together, where the data lives, what users interact with, what operators interact with. Usually something that doesn't exist yet, for a business that needs it to. Priced per project after we've talked it through.

Typically fits

Apps that serve many companies at once and absolutely can't leak data between them. AI-powered tools that do real work, not a wrapper around ChatGPT. Shopify stores with something unusual going on behind them. Software running a factory floor, a warehouse, or a production plant. Anything where the numbers have to reconcile and the audit trail has to hold up.

How it usually goes

A short scoping call first. Then a written proposal with scope, milestones, timeline, and price. I build in weekly visible chunks — you see real progress every week, not a demo at the end after months of silence.

— expect a scoping call within the week

Not a fit

Not currently taking on:

WordPress or Webflow builds. E-commerce theme customisation. Front-end-only design work. Short-term staff aug through recruiters. Anything under a few days of work. For those, happy to point you somewhere useful — just ask.

What happens after you get in touch

01

A short reply.

Within 24 hours, usually sooner. Either a yes with next steps, or a clear no with somewhere useful to try instead.

02

A scoping call.

30–45 minutes. Understand what you're trying to do, what you've already tried, and what has to be true by the end. Free.

03

A written proposal.

Scope, milestones, timeline, price. Fixed or staged. No surprises later.

04

We build.

Weekly visible progress. Actual check-ins. Shipped at the end, not thrown over a fence and forgotten.
